England national under-16 football team

The England national under-16 football team represents England in international football at this age level and is controlled by The Football Association, the governing body for football in England.
The England under-16 team compete in the annual United Kingdom football tournament the Victory Shield against Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Since World War II and up to 2007, England have won the Victory Shield outright 32 times and have been joint winners with Scotland eight times, with Wales twice and with both Scotland and Wales twice. They are the current champions.
The current coach is Kenny Swain and the current team captain is Jose Baxter. Most players are in their clubs reserve team or youth academy.
